I just wanted to post this picture of Aiden from Chloe's birthday party. He had such a great time running around with the other kids and even found himself a little girlfriend. I just LOVE this picture of him.

Blue Eyes
2*2*2
Owen is 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days old today.
He is such a smiley kid, all you have to do is look at him and he gets the biggest smile on his face. He has started reaching for toys and loves to "study" them while hanging out in his swing. He has giggled a few times in his sleep but this morning Gary got a real giggle out of him. His hands fascinate him and his mobile is one of his favorite things. He is a cooing fool who loves to mimic when you stick your tongue out. Time sure is flying...

Baby It's Hot Outside....
Today it was a hot humid day in the 90's, a perfect day to splash in the pool. Only problem was we didn't have one, which meant a trip to Target. We found a cute little frog pool that even Owen could enjoy. During Aiden's nap I planned to get it all set up. There was one little problem, I couldn't find the air pump. Guess who blew the whole thing up herself? ( No hot air jokes!...lol)

Gotta swim with the crocs....

Owen hung out like a celebrity in his little chair, he did dip his feet a few times though..

Love those blue eyes...

Owen
Just thought I would share some recent pictures of Owen. He has earned the nick name Mr. Smiley at our house, of course as soon as you get the camera out he refuses to smile, but I got a few little grins in there. He has also been a cooing fool, you'd think he has a novel he's trying to share with you. I had to laugh the other morning, I had just been up at 3am giving him a bottle and he went back to sleep or so I thought. About 45 minutes later I hear all this gibberish only to look in on him and see his smiling face looking right back up at me. At that point it did not matter how tired I was, that little face sure changed my mood.

Unsupervised Ice Cream Cone
Just the title itself is probably scary to most. There is always craziness before Gary gets home from work when I'm trying to get dinner done. Aiden is usually wrapped around one leg saying he needs something while I'm running back and forth from the boys room to the kitchen repeatedly winding the mobile for Owen to look at. Gary and I wanted to head to Kensington's Metro Park after dinner to go walking so I was in a big hurry to get dinner done so we could go before it got too dark or the mosquitoes carried us away. I caved and gave Aiden an ice-cream cone to keep him busy (he already ate). In one of my mad dashes to re-wind the mobile I found this...

I think ice cream cones will be supervised from now on, at least while we are in the house!

Not So Forgotten Visitors...
In the craziness of Owen's ordeal I forgot to blog about two visitors we had a few days before the big shenanigans. Billy and Emily came out to visit and were kind enough to bring dinner with them. We enjoyed a very nice evening, but I think Aiden enjoyed it most of all. He loves new faces to play with him. Thank you guys for coming out to visit!!
p.s. Billy, I know you check the blog you better start leaving some love...

Green Thumb?
After planting perennials a few years ago they are finally looking awesome. I've been trying really hard this year to keep up with the yard and my flower beds. Right now everything is just starting to bloom, I love going out every day to see what is new. Some things in bloom right now...
Hollyhocks, I just LOVE these, so dramatic.

Honeysuckle bush, my neighbor informed us when we moved in that this bush was over 50 years old, maybe older since our house was built in 1929.

The wild day lilies are in full bloom along the edge of our yard.

The sunflowers Aiden planted are very close to opening.

Our tomato plants are full of little green tomatoes.

Aiden request for a picture of a bumblebee ( that was a tough photo).

An Afternoon with PapaMom
The boys and I took a ride out to mom and dad's to surprise PapaMom. David and Kyle were there that day so Aiden was very excited. We haven't been over in a few weeks and were anxious to check out Papa's baby goats.

The boys had a great time playing out in the goat pen and even picked some flowers for PapaMom...

It's so great to see the three of them playing together and being "buds", I can't wait to see Owen running behind trying to keep up with the three of them.

Papa is very excited that his peacock's have laid eggs. Fingers crossed that they sit on them so we have some babies.

After running around I broke out the new sprinkler I bought for the boys to run through...

Owen enjoyed a little cat nap while the boys got wet...

Why no pictures of Aiden running through the sprinkler you may ask, he figured out VERY fast that the water was cold and decided it wasn't for him. We came to the conclusion that the water was too cold and the hot tub sounded better, I even threw on a suit for that! Owen cat napped again...

We had a great afternoon but were bummed that we missed Papa. We'll see him this weekend though!

Aiden-isms
Aiden sure loves to chat away, he has a few words that crack me up. Here they are....
Sqooze bus = school bus
Tub tub = what he calls the bath tub
Stanky= anything that is stinky
water mountains = water fountains
Popsicle course = obstacle course
He recently came into the room while I was changing Owen's diaper, Owen had been crying at the time, and asked "What's all the commotion in here?" The kid cracks me up!!

New Shoes
Grandma Cindy bought Aiden a pair of knock off crocs a while back and boy were they starting to stink so it was time for a new pair of shoes. We were looking for the Cars pair of crocs but there was only one pair left at the store and they were way to big, but Aiden sure did get excited when he saw the Spongebob pair. I don't think he's taken them off since we bought them, he even wore them to bed the other night. First thing he does in the morning is put his crocs on.
