Kensington Farm

Jessica and I took the four boys to the farm at Kensington Metro Park. It was a little chilly in the morning but the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful day.

We made a quick stop for a slurpee for the trip

We picked a perfect time to visit the farm, they had a litter of pigs born the middle of August, a set of twin calves born the end of August and another liter of pigs born Tuesday.

The boys enjoyed checking out the other animals...

The boys commented that the sheep must be mountain sheep...

We always joke that Aiden is the most cautious kid, most boys would be like David and Kyle climbing up the rocks...not Mr. Cautious...

Kyle thought the farm contained another animal........an alligator. The boys were looking pretty hard for that alligator.

We ate lunch and took a hayride around the farm (sorry no pics they all were a bit too blurry, it was a bumpy ride)

Matching Jammies

I bought the boys new jammies yesterday and had to get one pair that was matching. Aiden wanted to get his picture with Owen in the crib.

Owen's New Towel

Great Aunt Carolyn made a new towel for Owen. A tradition that started when we were little with her mother. Aiden loves his towel, it's the only one he ever uses after his baths.

Here is Owen with his new Puppy Towel....

And Aiden when he was 7 months old with his towel....

Thank you sooo much Aunt Carolyn!!

Mommy Moments

When I thought of myself with kids there was always a little girl in the picture. I always loved the thought of nail polish, pig tails and barbie dolls. So isn't it kind of ironic I'm now surrounded by boys. Moments like today have me thrilled to be a mom of two of the most wonderful little boys. As I was sorting laundry today I heard a "clank". After digging through the pockets of Aiden's shorts I found a handful of rocks and a quarter. Something about that picture brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. So there may not be dresses and pink frilly bows but I have still found a way to work that nail polish in...

Watch out....flying cereal!!!

The same day Owen learned to blow raspberries is the day I decide to start feeding him cereal, I think I was wearing more than he was eating. I think he had more fun blowing it everywhere than actually eating it!

4 Months

Where does the time go? In a blink of an eye 4 months have flown by. Owen is growing like a weed, here are some stats from his doctor appointment yesterday....

15lbs 7 oz.
25 inches long
and a huge head....I guess he's taking after those Susalla's. He can have a big head full of brains like his mom...lol.

He is Oh so close to rolling over but stops as soon as he gets to his side. His new favorite thing are his feet, they actually have scratches on them from trying to get them, and he has been caught with a toe in the mouth more than once. He ALWAYS has a smile on his face and will giggle with any tickle. I tease that those cheeks of his must hurt by the end of the day with all that smiling he does. Now if he would only sleep life at the McFarlands would be perfect.
