Pickles

I spent the day at Mom and Dad's canning pickles today. We had 1/2 bushel which didn't seem like much until we got going. We quickly found out we did not have enough vinegar or jars and made a quick run to the store. Midway through the process we had some surprise visitors, Nana and Papa. They stuck around and Nana helped us finish up the pickles and get some hot peppers canned also.

It was also great to have a visit from Brye, though it never dawned on me to take a picture while she was there. We even got to sneak out and do a little shopping!

Happy Birthday Gary

Happy Birthday Gary!
Gary turned 33 on Thursday but we celebrated with his side of the family on Saturday. We got to his parents house only to find out they didn't have power, add to that it was the hottest day of the year so far. We waited it out about an hour, hoping the power would come back on, but no luck! So we packed it all up and headed to his brother Tim's house. It was also Lauren's Birthday ( Gary's youngest brothers girlfriend) so she got to share the cake with Gary.Aiden helped Daddy blow out the candles and made sure to sneak a bit of frosting.

Owen

Just a few pictures of Owen. The first one I took while he was napping. There is a little mirror in his crib so I can see him when his head is turned away. I thought it was such a neat picture of him in the mirror.

It seems that we may officially have a teether. Teething is such a strange thing because all the signs are there except the tooth it self. Owen has been drooling like crazy and has taken to chewing on his thumb.

A Day At The Fair

We picked up PapaMom, David and Kyle and headed to the Armada Fair. We have been going since I was little, so it's so exciting to be bringing my kids. The boys enjoyed the rides. I was really surprised that Aiden, Mr. Cautious, wanted to ride the helicopter ride that leaves the ground. Aiden's favorite ride was the giant slide, after going down once with me he asked PapaMom to go with him once. David wanted to ride the ferris wheel but was too little to ride alone so Aunt Lindsey braved it and rode with him. Owen was great and didn't mind hanging out in the stroller babbling to himself.

I've been tricked!

I got out of the shower today and heard Aiden yelling for me. He kept asking, Mom aren't they pretty? The markers hit again! After the last episode with markers on the wall I threw them out. Recently while playing with crayons, which he kept on paper, I decided to let him try markers again. We made some cards together the other day and everything was great, so I thought we wouldn't have anymore issues.....not so. I think I've learned my lesson and the markers are in the garbage and he can wait until preschool to get his next set....

Three Months

I can't believe Owen is 3 months old already. The second time around things sure are flying by. I took about 20 pictures of him and this is the only one that didn't come out blurry, the kid is always wiggling something. The last few days he's been a drooling fool with his hands in his mouth, I'd swear he was teething but I couldn't see anything. I'm not ready to go through teething yet...

Flowers

Mom has had a lot of wedding flowers to do in the last few weeks, and more to come in the next few weeks. She asked me to take some pictures for her to add to her book and I really liked how the last few pictures came out. So I thought it was a great chance to show some of mom's work with the flowers and some of the fun I have taking pictures.

Boys

Just me and all the boys!
Mom asked me to come out and watch David and Kyle on her babysitting day so she could do flowers for a wedding she had.
It was a fun and very long afternoon with 4 boys. I think I can say that 2 is enough for me!
