Applesauce

I brought home some apples from the stand the other day to make some applesauce, so yesterday while Aiden was still at Grandma's I decided to make it. It turned out very good. I used golden delicious and left it a bit chunky.

Building The Shed

Gary went over with his brother Tim to help Tom finish up the shed he was building for Gary's parents. Aiden thought he was one of the boys hanging outside watching them hammer, nail and saw. He made sure to work in some breaks to play on the swingset too.








Aiden looks so stinking cute in his hat, if only I could get him to keep it on!

Colors

One day while walking through a store Aiden pointed out a yellow shirt. At first I thought he was just guessing and happened to get it right but after asking about more colors, he was getting them right also. He knows blue, green, yellow, orange, purple and red. Sometimes he has a hard time telling the difference between red and purple but gets it right a majority of the time. He's started pointing out certain shapes like stars and hearts so it looks like we will work on that soon. I really don't know where he picks some of this stuff up, it's amazing to see what that little mind can hold.

Big Boy Bed

A few weeks ago Aiden was sleeping horribly. If you even got near his crib he would start saying NO NO NO. He was waking up a few times a night and would no longer nap in the crib. I pulled the mattress out of his crib and laid it on the floor, he slept much better that night. So we made the decision that Aiden was ready for a big boy bed. Jessica had a toddler bed that wasn't being used so we borrowed it. Aiden is back to sleeping wonderfully and loves his big boy bed.

Such A Tough Life...

Aiden was calling for me yesterday. After following the sound of his voice I found him in our bed, the pillows propped up behind him, with the covers pulled up. He had the remote to the tv in his hand and quickly handed it to me to turn the tv on for him. If that wasn't enough he asked for crackers to snack on while he watched Spongebob. What a tough life...

Sprout

Friday I had my first doctors appointment and everything went well. Funny story for those who don't know. A few months ago a local radio station had a psychic on their show so I picked up my cell phone on my drive into work. Well wouldn't you know it I got through. At the time Gary and I had been discussing and trying for baby number two. So my question to the psychic was that we were trying for number 2 and what he saw in the near future. Well his response was baby number 2 like your second child, I quickly agreed. He then told me that my next pregnancy there would be two children, TWINS. Fast forward to my doctors appointment, after a reassuring ultrasound we have confirmed that there is only one little one in there. My due date was changed from May 10th to the 15th, but everything looks fantastic. I've been very nauseous the last week and a half, a good sign I know, but still not fun!



A new tradition with my baby board is that as some of us are starting the next round of pregnancies we give the little one a nick name until they arrive. So this little one was given the nickname of Sprout.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to us! It's hard to believe three years have gone by so fast. A house, a marriage, a child (who's almost 2) and another on the way. Who would have thought so much would happen in three years!

Boys can carry a purse too!

Today Aiden found my makeup bag and slipped the handle of the bag over his arm. He was walking around saying purse, so I dug out an old purse in my closet. He immediately went and stuffed it full of hotwheels. Gary came home for lunch and saw him walking around the house with a purse full of hotwheels he wasn't too sure what to think about the whole thing but boys can carry a purse too.

Sunflowers

There is a field of sunflowers not to far from my parents house. After dinner last night we took a little field trip with the boys. Our intent was get their picture standing in the field, but it had rained earlier and once we got there we noticed a rather large ditch we would have to cross. I did get a few pictures from the side of the road.

Hotwheels....

Hotwheels, hotwheels, hotwheels everywhere! It seems everywhere I look there is a silly little car. I went in the cupboard the other day and found one. It's becoming a hazard to walk around the house!

 
 
 
 

Another trip to the zoo

Labor day was spent at the zoo. Jessica, Tony, the boys, dad, Gary's brother Matt and his girlfriend Lauren and the three of us had a wonderful time at the zoo.



If anyone can identify this flower I'd be soooo happy. It even stumped my dad...

There was actually a polar bear swimming when we went through the underwater tunnel. It was awesome watching him swim around.

Who does Aiden look like?

Since Aiden was born I have always thought that he looked more like Gary. I think the biggest resemblance is in their eyes. When people have told me that Aiden looks like me I thought they were crazy. I tried many pictures and each time this was the outcome.

Polka Dots??

The other day Aiden went running by and I caught a look at his feet. I had to look twice because I thought they were dirty. Upon further inspection I noticed his feet are polka dotted. Any guesses why?

Happy Birthday Gary

Gary is the big 32 today. We went to dinner last night with the McFarlands and then back to Gary's parents for cake. So what's the big guy doing today on his actual birthday? He took the day off of work and went to the casino with his parents. Lets hope he wins big!

Gary's favorite cake is Boston Cream Pie. His Mommy makes it every year but I volunteered this year. Wow, what a pain it is to make, now I know why his moms asks me to do it every year.

The Armada Fair

For as long as I can remember we've been going to the Armada Fair. It's become somewhat of a tradition for all of us to go the night of the figure 8 race. On Thursday night mom,dad, Jessica, David, Kyle, Aiden and I headed out to the fair. Grandpa bought the boys some tickets to ride a few rides.
