Christmas Morning

I don't know who was more excited for Christmas this year, Aiden or myself. This year Aiden actually understood what was going on and couldn't wait until Christmas morning. We made sure to put cookies and milk out for Santa and a few carrots for his reindeer.

My boys on Christmas Morning

The only thing Aiden wanted was the Wall-e movie. Santa left Aiden a Wall-e themed stocking complete with movie, figure and tooth brush.

Family

It's so hard to get a picture of the 4 of us, this might only be the 2nd or 3rd picture of all of us, I think it's because I'm usually the one taking pictures. Lauren was sweet enough to take a few pictures of us for me on Christmas Eve.

Birthday Party

I was hoping we wouldn't have a repeat of last years birthday party and get snowed out again. Wouldn't you know it, a day before Aiden's party we got hit with a snow storm, but luckily it was cleaned up enough for everyone to make it this year.

The kids table...

Uncle Tony, Emily and Owen

Present time!! Aiden was so sweet, after he opened each present he thanked the person that got it for him.

Chloe was a little unhappy that she couldn't be in the present mess...

Look at all those gifts and kids!!

Aiden's invitations this year had a cupcake on them so I thought I would make a big cupcake cake. The pan didn't come with much directions so it was kind of trial and error.

My big boy!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone that came out, I'm so glad you were able to share in such a special day. It means sooo much to us!

Happy 3rd Birthday

I can hardly believe that my baby is three already! Time has just flown by. Aiden woke up bright and early the day of his birthday so he could open his birthday gift. We got him the Geo Trax Grand Central Station, and he has been loving it. He gets a little frustrated when the train falls off the track but has been using the controller to drive the train back and forth.

That night we took him out to Red Robin for his birthday dinner. He thought it was so cool when the servers came over to sing Happy Birthday to him. He was thanking them before they were even done. He even shared his ice cream with his mom...

Papa's Boy

Lately I've been getting comments on how much Owen looks like his Papa so while I was at Mom and Dad's yesterday I went searching for a specific picture. Mom's picture organizing might need a little help seeing as they are all just in a giant bin and we had to dig. Of course after looking for a good 30 minutes David stuck his hand in the bin and pulled out a picture and said "This one looks like Owen". It was the exact picture I was looking for. So if Owen is anything like his Papa he is going to grow up a handsome little man for sure!

This One Is For Aunt Carolyn

While digging through the picture bin I came across this photo of me with my towel Grandma Bubbles made for me. I thought since I've been sharing pictures of the boys with thier towels I'd throw one of me in too!

3rd Annual Holiday Cookie Day

We had our third annual cookie day at my house today. I can't remember the last time Brye, Melissa, Jackie and I were all in the same place at the same time with all our kids. Mom even came out this year which was wonderful to have that extra set of arms to help with the boys. With 4 boys 3 and under we thought it was best to get as many cookies made ahead of time as we could.

Brye hates when I sneak around with the camera and just shoot without having people pose, so here she is trying to avoid me...

Santa

Aiden has been very excited to see Santa so I thought I would take the boys today. I knew Gary wouldn't have the patience to wait in line anyway. We got to the mall, parked in what felt like another county, got into the mall, waited in line for the elevator which only fit one stroller at a time so you can only imagine what fun it was trying to get the double stroller in there. We finally get to Santa and see a big sign that says "Santa will return at 2"....crap, now we have an hour to wait. So the boys and I did a little shopping. I spoiled myself at Lush with some bath bombs and then went and waited in the huge line that had formed while we were shopping. Aiden was excited in line and couldn't wait to ask Santa for the Wall-e movie. Things quickly change when you are in front of the man in red. Aiden wouldn't talk, at least he wasn't crying. Owen just wanted a fist full of that beard. So I told Santa what Aiden wanted, Santa gave him some stickers and we were off to pick up our picture. On our way out of the mall Aiden was sad so I asked him what was up. He said that I told Santa he wanted the Wall-e movie but he didn't give it to him. I had never thought about that, he thought you go and tell Santa what you want and he gives it to you right there, so I explained how you have to tell Santa what you want and he goes back to the North Pole and makes it. He's still a little bummed he didn't leave with the movie, but I think Santa knows he's been good. We'll be checking Aiden's stocking first thing on Christmas morning...

Christmas Photos

After 70 some photos I was able to find one for the new blog header but thought I would share a few of the others. With two very active boys and a dim room it was rather hard to get a photo without a blurry face. I fooled around with different effects for the header and tried to give it that "nostalgic" old feeling with the muted colors.

Kitchen Makeover

I was getting a little bored of the colors in the kitchen so we decided to re-paint.

Bye-Bye red....

And the new colors.....Benjamin Moore Timothy Straw and Mink.

We painted the little wall Timothy straw so the chalk board would stand out still (please ignore the mess in the other room, when you work on one room the rest of the house looks like it blew up).
